Murata launched small power inductor dfe21ccn serieS for 5g smart phone

       Murata production office of Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Murata") has started mass production of 2012 (2.0×1.2mm) size power inductor "dfe21ccn_el series" (hereinafter referred to as "this product") for 5g smart phones.Compared with the traditional products with the same size of Murata, the rated current of this product is increased by about 20% and the DC resistance is reduced by about 50%, which is conducive to the stability and miniaturization of the circuit.


       In recent years, as the functions of smart phones become more and more powerful, the number of power circuits installed in devices is also increasing.Especially for some smart phones that support 5G, the number of power inductors used in the power supply module that regulates the power supply voltage is about 30% higher than that of the traditional 4G smart phones.Moreover, due to the increase in battery size of 5G smartphones, components need to be further miniaturized. Therefore, Murata has developed this product that contributes to the high performance and miniaturization of smartphones through magnetic circuit optimization technology and advanced molding technology.


       Murata positions the communications market and the automotive market as core markets, and will continue to develop products that meet market needs and expand the lineup of power inductors. Murata will continue to focus on the development of smaller products for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and next-generation in-vehicle information communication systems (IVI) for the communications market and automotive market.


       Features of the product

      ●Compared with Murata's conventional products of the same size, the rated current is increased by about 20%, and the DC resistance is reduced by about 50%, which contributes to the stabilization and miniaturization of the circuit.

      ●Using L-shaped electrodes, as thin as 0.8mm, advanced double-sided circuit board mounting can be realized.
